"Niva - to support, to flow, to give life. A name, a promise, a purpose."

At Niva Trust, we believe that lasting change begins within communities. Established with a vision to uplift lives, we focus on three critical pillars—Education, Environment, and Healthcare. By addressing these core areas together, we aim to create a positive ripple effect that reaches families, villages, and entire regions.

From empowering children with access to quality learning, to protecting our environment for future generations, and providing essential healthcare where it’s needed most—we are committed to being a catalyst for change. Every project, every partnership, and every step forward is driven by our belief in local action and collective impact.

A group of people are gathered in a room, with some seated on blue plastic chairs. Two men in the foreground are wearing face masks and engaging in conversation, one holding a syringe, hinting at a medical setting. An older man wearing a traditional Nepali hat and vest is seated, conversing with the men. A woman in a colorful traditional dress looks on attentively from her chair. The walls have written notices and a framed sign in a non-English script. The setting appears based on community health outreach or vaccination drive.

What 'Niva' Means

The name Niva carries many meanings that beautifully reflect our purpose.

In Sanskrit, it means to bring near, to support, or to flow — capturing our belief that change must move gently and reach all who need it.

In Hindi, it is linked to the sacred river Narmada and the sun — symbols of life, renewal, and hope.

In Hebrew, it means expression — a reminder that every community deserves a voice.

A group of people are gathered indoors, with one individual sitting and having their blood pressure checked. Others stand around engaging in various activities, suggesting a community or clinic setting. The lighting is calm and natural, with a mix of shadows and highlights.
